J.S. Bach's lyric chorale prelude on "Kommst du nun, Jesu, vom Himmel herunter," BWV 650. This piece is one of the Schübler Chorales, having its musical origins in one of Bach's church cantatas, BWV 137. As you will hear, this Advent chorale shares its melody with the well known hymn "Praise to the Lord, the Almighty."

Recording made on a virtual model of the 1755 Silbermann organ in Dresden, Hauptwerk pipe samples by Sonus Paradisi.
