Praise to the Lord, the Almighty

Arrangement by Lani Smith based on the tune "Lobe den Herren" from the Stralsund Gesangbuch, 1665. It appears to be from a collection by Lorenz Publishing in 1977. I have no idea what the name of the collection is because all I have is a photocopy of this one piece.

I learned this arrangement a number of years ago for a performance in Sacrament Meeting. I thought I had done a recording for the Concert Hall, but it turned out I hadn't, so this gave me a reason to bring it back up to speed. I started relearning this several weeks ago. As it turned out I didn't get it up to speed until today, a very special day.

This performance, albeit not perfect, is in celebration of my 42nd wedding anniversary. After all marriages aren't perfect either! But some things last, and as with my marriage, I find this arrangement to be very satisfying.
