The choral prelude on “Herr Christ, der einig Gottes Sohn” is in other sources attributed to Pachelbel. The version in manuscript Mus Ms 40349 differs in only two or three details from the Breitkopf edition, available on imslp. The style is similar to Wo Gott zum Haus nicht gibt sein Günst I uploaded earlier (
http://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/21228). After a fugual introduction, the choral melody is stated unisono in bass and tenor voice.
This time I choose a large registration, to show off the powerful pedal division of the Müller organ in Haarlem. And to give it an extra bite, I use a quarter meantone temperament.
