Works by Henri Nibelle now available on IMSLP

Henri Nibelle was a student of Vierne's, and some of Nibelle's works have already been recorded and shared on these forums. In the interest of increasing access to his works, I recently uploaded some of them to IMSLP: https://imslp.org/wiki/Category:Nibelle,_Henri

The collection of 50 pieces on liturgical themes is probably in the public domain in the US, since there is no copyright date on the work. All of Nibelle's works are public domain in Canada, China, Korea, and other countries where copyright terms are life + 50 years.

I hope it is OK to share this kind of link here! I thought it would be of interest to this crowd, even though it's not Hauptwerk-related.

All right, looks like you're going to have to copy those links into your URL bars because of my unfamiliarity with these forums, but I hope you all enjoy!

Actually, it's probably NOT in PD in the USA, as per the notice on IMSLP:

This work is likely not in the public domain in the US (due to first publication with the required notice after 1923, plus renewal or "restoration" under the GATT/TRIPS amendments), nor in the EU and those countries where the copyright term is life+70 years. However, it is public domain in Canada (where IMSLP is hosted) and in other countries (China, Japan, S. Korea) where the copyright term is life+50 years.

That notice is automatically generated based on the (estimated) publication date. A copyright reviewer on IMSLP whom I asked about this said "there would have to be a dated copyright stamp on the first page of the score or title page for a possible claim and then a renewal would also have to be in place 28 years after its supposed copyright date. Since there is no copyright date on it, its most likely free in the USA (but not the EU because Life + 70)."

Here is where I had that conversation: https://imslp.org/index.php?title=Special:WikiForum&thread=24516 That link is not going to work if you click on it because it has a colon in it, but if you copy and paste it into your URL bar, you will be able to see the conversation I had.

Thanks for providing the links, fugalicious!

These links didn't work as expected since the colon sign ":" is an invalid character according to the URL (uniform resource locator) specification and needs to be represented by its hexadecimal escape sequence ("%25").

Let's try this:
