Are comments censored or hacked?

I just discovered that one of my comments to one of Agnus_Dei's uploads (Fileuse) has been modified by someone/something else:

'... for perfection every time, especially in the orchestration and [removed]in case nobody noticed that's my first priority).'

It should have said '...the orchestration and expression (...' or something like that. And I'm 100% certain I didn't write '[removed]in', leaving out the space and forgetting the opening bracket. Also it doesn't say 'Edited' behind my name and the date.

If it wasn't the CB Secret Service themselves, maybe what I was told and what I witnessed with my own two eyes awhile ago on someone else's upload, but didn't want to make a case of at that time, is actually true: someone is or has been hacking this site. Someone I hope to never 'see' here again. Someone with a good reason not to like me. Someone clever and technically advanced enough not to leave any evidence behind.

Please tell me it was the CBSS!

Now that's a bummer.

Left a test comment at https://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/28660 to see whether some automatic replacement (wordlist-based or similar) takes place, but it didn't. My comment saying ''Just a test comment to see if the word expression is removed/replaced automatically.'' was left unchanged -- at least for the moment.

And, to answer your initial question: Yes, comments are ''censored'' to a certain degree. At least, any comments from deleted/deactivated members won't show up on pieces, although they're still counted on the piece. https://www.contrebombarde.com/concerthall/music/25794 would be an example of it, where Vannou left a comment back in those days. Both the comment and my reply are gone, but the comments counter still says ''1''.

P.S. Replies to deleted users' comments don't show up as well.

Does anyone see a third option that could explain the overly clumsy edit '[Removed]'?

... other than someone I DON'T suspect has hacked it.

Of course it would be on one of my uploads! ;-)

But then, I suppose that I do invite controversy with comments (made by me) that tend to insight riots. :-)

Peace to All!

Let's see if the mystery editor will change "insight" to "incite"? (Not trying to incite anything here!)

Well, the software did remove the quotation marks I had around INSIGHT and INCITE, so something is going on!

You can only use single quotation marks on this forum. Rather annoying.

Yeah, forum posts are pretty much broken (regarding quotation marks and hyperlinks). I submitted a fix for hyperlinks to CBAdmin several months ago, but seemingly to no avail so far.

P.S. What has happened to the older thread (ID 149)?
Seems like it was deleted (on purpose?) and replaced by this newer one (ID 150).

Hello Woody,

I've tried looking for the fix to the hyperlinks/quotation marks you were talking about, the only one we've received from you and implemented was URLMatch.php last year from what I could find. That was the only function we placed on the forum thread/replies.

I did a quick debug and it appears when I remove the URLMatch function the double quotations appear, and when I return the function the double quotations disappear.

We may have not received your email or DM, as I've been digging around for the past 2 hours and I still cant find any recent emails from you :S Would you mind emailing us the fix again?

Thank you,

Raymond
